Friday, oh Friday, how sweet thy name,
The end of a long week, the start of a game,
The promise of rest, of leisure and fun,
A break from the drudgery that we've all done.
The clock ticks slower as the day goes by,
And in our hearts, we start to feel alive,
We make plans for the weekend, oh so grand,
And dream of adventures in far-off lands.
The air seems lighter, the sky more blue,
As Friday comes into view,
The burdens of work, they start to fade,
And a sense of joy, in our hearts is made.
We gather with friends, and laugh and sing,
And bask in the freedom that Friday brings,
We savor the moment, and hold it tight,
For it's the start of something oh so right.
So here's to Friday, our faithful friend,
The one who helps us to see the end,
The one who reminds us that life is good,
And fills our hearts with a sense of should.
We'll raise a glass, and toast to thee,
Friday, oh Friday, our hearts doth plea,
That you'll keep coming, week after week,
And fill our lives with happiness, so sweet.
